PMA Safety

PMA is durable local kernel-state storage. It is not a protocol feature, not a git artifact, not a cache to delete casually, and not a community bootstrap artifact to copy raw.

Stop the node before preserving or inspecting PMA, event-log, checkpoint, or snapshot artifacts.

Record the Nockchain commit/build, data-dir, network, checkpoint height or event boundary, and source URL before trusting state artifacts.

Prefer trusted state jams, verified snapshots, manifests, or supported bootstrap artifacts over raw third-party PMA directories.

Treat empty post-checkpoint SQLite logs as expected only during first checkpoint bootstrap.
